About -   The Village Hall, opened in 1997 by Councillor Pauline Robinson, stands on the site of the old village hall.  It was erected with financial help from Leominster District Council, the Southern Marches Partnership, Arts Lottery Funding and donations from many Charitable Trusts, local firms, local individuals and extensive local fundraising.  It was designed by Mr Dennis Vickers and Mr Sid Stevens was responsible for the build.

Lingen Village Hall is reached by a pleasant journey through the wonderful border countryside but its rural position belies its very modern facilities.

The exterior provides a small but sheltered patio and picnic area while in the car park there are two designated spaces for disabled users.

The interior is completely wheelchair friendly with specially adapted toilet facilities. The main hall is spacious, light and airy, lit at one end by a floor-to-ceiling window looking out onto rolling countryside, while at the other end there is a stage with curtains and lights.  The floor space allows a capacity for 200 people.

The kitchen has hatches both to the main hall and committee room and ample work surface and storage space.  There is a fridge, freezer, commercial cooker, integral water heater, crockery, glasses and cutlery for 120 place settings.

The committee room is accessed from both the main hall and corridor through the building.  It is smaller and more intimate - the room seating between 15 and 35 depending on the layout.  It also accommodates a bar with its own sink and fridge.
