LINGEN STITCHERS 10-4 every 1st & 3rd Monday at the Village Hall

We have now been meeting fortnightly on a regular basis since 2005, initially under the protective wing of Lingen AAI, but are now an independent club. We explore different techniques and materials, covered (in a fairly wide sense of the word) by the term “stitching” and it’s associated arts (such as dyeing cloth, felt making and other varied techniques).

Not being the types to hide our handiwork, we hold an annual display of our year’s output in the church over the August bank holiday.

Interested in finding out more about us? Drop in to any of our sessions or contact us via the Lingen Website above to enquire about becoming a member.

NEEDLING ALONG 10-4 every 2nd & 4th Monday at the Village Hall

The group is very relaxed and informal, and we call ourselves a co-operative (even though we do have a mentor), because we share our knowledge and skills, sometimes our fabrics and threads, and always our support and enthusiasm. Our annual programme of work is compiled from suggestions put forward by the group, and we aim to have a mix of traditional and contemporary textile work, using either hand or machine stitching. Nothing is compulsory, if you don’t like the thought of a particular project you are free to progress your own work, or maybe complete something started earlier. It is an environment in which your skills and knowledge will grow, regardless of whether you are a beginner or more experienced.

At £10 per session we feel it is good value. This cost includes unlimited tea/coffee and biscuits – and sometime cake!
