British Cycling’s Breeze is the biggest programme ever to get more women into riding bikes for fun and fitness and it’s now in our area. Rides are organised and led by British Cycling trained leaders (Breeze Champions), they are free and usually have a café stop along the route or at the end where everyone can have a drink and a natter. Our aim is to get more women to feel confident and comfortable going out on a bike, no special clothing is required, just being comfortable and suitable for the weather conditions at the time of the ride. Helmets are advisable but not compulsory. The rides go at the pace of the slowest rider and no one gets left behind.
